Food perspective | pandangan makanan ?
Makan. kalau orang putih panggil eating. lol. saje nak include bende tu. tak de tujuan pon. So. apa itu makan? kalau orang tanya aku, aku jawab ingestion of food in our body. tu just definition aku. mungkin orang lain ade pendapat lain. ade definition lain. its up to you. ni bukan persoalan yang nak diutarakan sekarang ni. sekarang ni aku nak tanya. kenapa kita makan ek? mesti ramai orang yang akan cakap pasal kita lapar lah. we need to satisfy our hunger. knowing me, the answer didn't actually satisfy me. questions keep popping in my head. why do I see people eat out of boredom? sometimes people eat while they are depressed, sad, mad, happy. is that ok to have such eating habit? won't there any consequences? I guess the answer to why people eat can be vary nowadays. maybe the act of eating is actually the remedy for itch and emotional instability. maybe eating can actually improve people's mood. maybe eating can actually do something good to people. perhaps improving people's strength?
I mean, I don't know I just observe from afar. I'm just a student. I'm still learning. but here's something my parents thought since I was a kid. there's this hadits that say "Kita (kaum muslimin) adalah kaum yang hanya makan bila lapar dan berhenti makan sebelum kenyang". Hadis ni hadis daif. tapi banyak pengajaran. As a kid, I don't really understand my parents. I don't think there is any need of rule regarding eating. I mean, don't tell me when, where and what to eat. but, as I grew up it becomes clear to me. I can start to understand. You have to limit your food intake. you can't just feed whenever you feel like it. because chances are, you'll have to deal with the consequences. did you notice when have large amount of food intake, you'll find yourself become less capable. lesser strength. you'll feel sleepy. You'll be less productive. you can't really finish your task. but for some people that's not really a big deal. they've got the whole time in the world. so they can finish task later I guess. but for a student like me. I don't really have that 'trashing time'. each seconds count. every minute of everyday is crucial to learn something new while getting deadline off your back.
I do think that we have different perspective on eating habits. bukan senang nak jaga ikut sunnah makan macam Rasullullah. tapi percayalah dalam kesusahan itu ada kemudahan. (al-quran 94:5). makan sikit bukan nak jaga badan. tapi nak jaga iman. makan sikit bukan nak cover ayu. tapi harap ibadah tak layu. iman kena sado. wallahualam
